Great conversational moments from a video interview with Si Scott of Si Scott Studio and Scott Hansen of iso50. Both of these designers are such strong designers in typography and are world renowned for their ability in transforming informational imagery into works of art. Scott Hansen has been at the forefront of graphic art by pushing a new launch 70’s aesthetic with modern touches. The style relies heavily on previously established design themes and principles mixed with modern metaphors, techniques, photography and design technology.
Si Scott is known for his hand drawn type explorations which defy common perceptions of letter form and letterform relationships. While his explorations at first glance seem like the type itself is unraveling they maintain a fluidity and readability that astounds.
The interview is fun to watch because it is unedited and raw which provides a candid insight into their commonalities in design and the contrast in their cultural experiences sit back and enjoy.
